MANSFIELD, PA—The annual Mansfield University holiday choral concerts will feature "Holiday Music Down Through the Ages" on Friday, November 30, Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Steadman Theatre.
Music for men's, women's and mixed choirs that was composed as far back as the sixth century and through the 21st century will resound through the hall. The program will be presented by more than 200 singers and instrumentalists celebrating the spirit of the season with glorious music from historical classics along with popular favorites.
The finale, “Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas,” sung by the combined choirs, will incorporate well-known musical styles throughout music history and include a smashing ending. Brass, strings, percussion, and organ will add to the cheer as well as carol singing by the audience.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students and children and are available online at music.mansfield.edu or by calling (570)662-4710.
