MANSFIELD, PA— Mansfield University students, along with staff and faculty, fanned out over Mansfield and the surrounding area for “The Big Event” on Saturday, April 18.
In a day of community service, an army of MU volunteers showed their appreciation to the surrounding community by completing a wide variety of service projects such as yard work, window washing and painting for community members and businesses.
The effort also included cleaning up several parks and other sites in Wellsboro. A large contingent also cleaned up the Lambs Creek Recreation Area.
Now in its second year at MU, “The Big Project” originated 26 years ago at Texas A&M University and has spread to more than 20 campuses nationwide.
The Mansfield “Big Event” was sponsored by the MU Student Government Association.
