MANSFIELD, PA— Heather Smiles of the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC) will present “PFBC Involvement in Natural Gas Activities” on Thursday, January 31, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Allen Hall, Room 104.
This is the January installment of the Shale Speaker Series sponsored by The Marcellus Institute at Mansfield University.
Smiles will give an overview of the PFBC's role in the natural gas development in Pennsylvania and protecting the Commonwealth's aquatic resources. She will also talk about PFBC’s roles in monitoring water quantity and quantity, stream and wetland encroachment impact reviews, threatened and endangered species impact reviews, commenting on policy and protecting recreational opportunities, as they relate to unconventional gas well development.
Light refreshments will be provided at the presentation.
