Two Graduates Receive Army Commissions

| MANSFIELD, PA (5/23/08) - In addition to receiving their diplomas, two Mansfield University graduates received commissions into the U.S. Army Reserve during Commencement weekend on May 9-10.
Allen Krotzer of Mansfield, PA and Donald Oechslin of Horseheads, NY were commissioned as Second Lieutenants in a ceremony held on May 9 in the North Hall. Both graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice Administration on May 10. Krotzer will serve in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Quartermaster officer. He will be attending training in January at Fort Benning, GA and Fort Lee, VA before joining his unit in McElhatten, PA. Oechslin will be serving as an Engineer officer. He will be training at Fort Sill, OK and Fort Leonard Wood, MO beginning in June before joining his unit in New York. Krotzer and Oechslin participated in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program headquartered at Lock Haven University.
