The Band Perry to Perform September 29

MANSFIELD, PA— The Band Perry will perform in concert at Decker The Band Perry Gymnasium on Sunday, September 29 at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

      Siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry began performing together as young children. Their big break came when they signed a national recording contract with Republic Nashville in 2009.

      Since then, The Band Perry has toured extensively and released two albums.

Their self-titled debut in 2010 produced several hit singles and they won Academy of Country Music Awards for top new vocal duo or group and top new artist. The 2011, the singleIf I Die Young took single and song of the year honors from the Country Music Association.

The Band Perry’s second album, Pioneer, was released in April of this year. The single Done has reached number one on the Billboard country airplay chart.

      Tickets go on sale Thursday, August 1 at the MU Campus Bookstore in Alumni Hall, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or on-line at mansfield.tix.com

MU Student concert tickets are being held back in a block of tickets for purchase when students get back to campus with the start of classes on Monday, August 26. They can be purchased in person at the campus bookstore for $10 using Mountie Money or cash.

All tickets are general admission, with bleacher seating and standing room only on the gym floor.

The concert is sponsored by the Student Activities Office and is funded by student activity fees.
