MANSFIELD, PA— This year’s Mansfield University Music Department Holiday Choral Concert, "Holiday Music From Around the World," will be broadcast on several media outlets during the holiday season.
WSKG-TV (PBS, Binghamton) will broadcast the concert on Thursday, December 19 at 8 p.m.
WETM2-TV (Elmira) will air the concert on Christmas Eve at 9 p.m.
WVIA-TV (PBS, Scranton-Wilkes Barre) will also show the concert on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas Day, both at 7 p.m.
Blue Ridge Cable will broadcast this year’s concert several times throughout Christmas week in the Northern Tier on Cable Channel 13 starting Monday, December 23.
The program, produced and directed by Director of Choral Activities Peggy Dettwiler, features more than 200 musicians. Music from 16 countries representing five continents will be presented by more than singers and instrumentalists in the Women’s Chorus, Men’s Chorus, Festival Chorus, Chamber Singers and the Concert Choir.
The broadcasts are produced and directed by MU Director of Media Services Mark Polonia and the MU Public Relations Department, with audio mixing by Associate Professor David Wetzel and editing by Wade Spencer.
The broadcast is a one-hour version of the concert’s original performance on December 6 in Steadman Theatre.
